Who Can Register?
What to expect?
At our academy, we believe in providing a nurturing, family-like atmosphere where learning extends beyond the textbooks. We believe that being smart and educated is useless if you do not pair it with love and a sense of responsibility within your family and larger community. Whether your child attends full day, half day, or a la carte, we tailor each experience to meet their individual needs and passions. Students will be expected to stretch to reach their full potential but will be given every possible tool to assist in their journey.
Research has shown that when students feel more connected and seen to their teacher they not only perform better academically but also thrive later in life. Class sizes are kept small so that the teacher has a chance to personally connect with and get to know each student.
Full-Day Attendance:
Parents can select which days their students will attend. Choosing either once a week all the way up to five times a week. Students who attend full-day classes will enjoy a well-rounded schedule, which includes a variety of subjects taught through 30-minute classes with short breaks in between. These breaks offer students time to socialize, play, connect with nature, explore their interests, or even spend extra time on a topic they're passionate about. The environment is small and intimate, fostering close-knit relationships where students feel comfortable engaging in collaborative learning and growth.
Children will be provided a nourishing lunch and snacks when they come for the full day if they choose to not bring their own lunch and snacks. As appropriate children will be included in the process; either learning about the importance of nutrients and minerals in our diet, how to plan meals, cooking science, regional cuisines, or other appropriate learning materials.
The full day begins at 9:00 A.M. and ends at 3:00 P.M. however additional classes can be registered for to extend the school day from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. as needed.
Parents or caretakers are free to attend as desired or drop off as desired. However, when the parent is present we ask that they adopt a mentality of flexibility that ensures their child is reaching their full potential. Whether this means attending the class with the child or sitting in another room apart from their child, or if attending the class with the child is repeatedly encouraging the child to be distracted.
If you desire to be on site to work remotely while your child learns. Please contact us for additional information for a separate learning space and wifi. Fees apply.
Half-Day Attendance:
For those attending half-day sessions, we offer a streamlined but equally enriching experience. Students will participate in 30-minute focused classes, with ample time for self-expression, peer interaction, connecting with nature, and exploration. The breaks are designed to ensure they can recharge, practice skills they’ve learned, and develop relationships in a relaxed, family-centered setting.
At time of registration, parents or caretakers will choose either morning core classes (9 A.M. to 12 P.M.) or afternoon elective classes (1 P.M. to 3 P.M.). Morning classes cover core subjects of Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies. Afternoon classes are elective classes that vary by day and monthly. Please see the monthly schedule for elective classes.
Students in half-day attendance can also add on lunch, extended hours classes, or a la carte classes to meet the needs of the student and their family.
Extended Hours Classes:
We understand that sometimes the demands of life necessitate additional classes in hours before 9 A.M. or after 3 P.M. For this reason we offer additional classes from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. If additional hours are requested beyond these times, please contact us.
A La Carte Classes:
If you're looking for a flexible option, our a la carte classes allow you to pick and choose the subjects that best suit your child’s interests and needs. Each class is designed to provide focused learning, with time afterward for students to ask questions, deepen their understanding, or simply enjoy connecting with their peers.
Across all options, we pride ourselves on a personalized approach to learning. Each student receives the attention they need to thrive academically, but we also place a strong emphasis on relationship-building. Beyond knowledge acquisition, students learn valuable life skills, practice developing relationships, and have opportunities to enhance their emotional and social growth in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Students can be dropped off up to 10 minutes before class and must be picked up 10 minutes after their class ends. If students are not enrolled in consecutive classes, they must be picked up in between or they will be charged for the classes in-between their registered classes.

Crunchy Level
We believe that the drive for quick comfort and convenience in our society has led to solutions that are not the best for promoting long term health. We actively search for ways to improve what goes into our students bodies and is in their environment. At the same time, there are tradeoffs to be made within the limits of time and resources. Ultimately, we respect the wishes of the families as they approach the health and well being of their families and wish to accommodate their family culture.

Technology
At Kachipaz Academy, we believe that technology, like any tool, can greatly enhance learning when used wisely and with balance. As my father taught me growing up, the right tools can make work faster and more efficient. This principle holds true in education, where technology can be an incredible resource for exploration and growth. However, without careful guidance, it can also become a distraction or even hinder progress toward personal development. We incorporate technology thoughtfully in our classrooms, using computers, tablets, videos, and virtual games to enrich learning experiences. At the same time, there are moments when devices are not welcome, as hands-on, real-world engagement and connection with nature are equally essential to growth. To maintain a healthy balance, we have the following guidelines: Educational Purpose: Devices brought to class should only have educational tools and games installed. Non-educational apps or games are not permitted. Parental Responsibility: We strongly encourage parents to install monitoring software to limit the type of content and the time students spend on their devices. Body and Nature Focus: A significant portion of our curriculum involves using students’ bodies, engaging with real-life experiences, and fostering a deep connection to the natural world. By striking a balance between the advantages of technology and the benefits of physical and experiential learning, we aim to equip students with the wisdom to use tools effectively while nurturing their holistic growth.

Trial Class
At Kachipaz Academy, we pride ourselves on offering high-quality education at affordable prices. As such, we do not offer trial classes. However, we warmly welcome families to visit our academy to meet our staff, explore the learning environment, and ask any questions they may have. This opportunity allows you to get a feel for our approach, philosophy, and community before making a commitment. We believe in fostering trust and transparency, ensuring that both students and parents feel confident and excited about joining our academy.

Transcripts
At Kachipaz Academy, we understand the importance of documenting your child’s educational journey. While we do not automatically provide transcripts, we are happy to prepare one upon written request before the beginning of the class session. This ensures we can accurately track and compile the necessary information throughout the course. In addition to transcripts, we are committed to keeping parents informed about their child’s progress. Regular feedback will be provided, highlighting strengths, achievements, and areas where the student can focus to improve. This feedback allows parents to support their child’s continued growth at home, ensuring a collaborative approach to their education. If a transcript is needed for specific purposes, such as transferring to another program or meeting homeschool documentation requirements, please don’t hesitate to let us know. We are here to support your child’s success and provide the tools you need to navigate their educational journey.

Nature
We care about each students whole wellbeing, not just their goals to learn. As we leverage technology, we also balance it with ample time to connect with nature. In our classrooms we try to fill them with natural light and when possible, we bring the classroom outside. Human beings have spent thousands of years being more in tune with and connected to nature than our modern society. Researchers have shown us that it is important for our well being to take ample breaks to be more connected to nature: lighting, soil, etc.

Secular-Relgious
At Kachipaz Academy, we highly respect the diversity of family cultures and their unique decisions regarding how to teach their children about deity and moral issues. Unless a class is specifically marked as religious studies, our curriculum does not include outright teachings of any particular religion. However, in classes such as social studies or cultural studies, we may explore religious traditions as they pertain to history, culture, or belief systems in an objective and educational way. Within the academy, we hold strong personal beliefs, including faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Redeemer. These beliefs guide our values, including: The Greatest Commandments: To love God so that we can love our neighbors more perfectly. Free Will: We believe that free will is an essential part of life’s journey and must be respected for all not just those we agree with. The Role of Families: Families are divinely entrusted with the sacred responsibility to teach and guide their children in the best possible way. We are here to support the family not supersede it. While we do not impose our religious beliefs on students or their families, we incorporate moral teachings commonly aligned with Christian principles. These include: Loving your neighbor and treating others with kindness and respect. Doing good and making ethical decisions in everyday life. Sacrificing short-term rewards for long-term, greater gains. Assisting the poor, needy, and vulnerable as a demonstration of compassion and community responsibility. Fulfilling the measure of our creation by amplifying our abilities, skills, knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. These principles are somewhat universal and foster a foundation of integrity, empathy, and personal growth. Our goal is to create a space where learning, growth, and understanding flourish, regardless of religious background, while upholding values that inspire students to be kind, thoughtful, and impactful members of their communities.

Testing
At Kachipaz Academy, we approach testing as a tool for understanding, not as a measure of success or failure. Before a child begins their journey with us, we conduct an initial assessment to understand their current knowledge, natural interests, and learning preferences. This helps us tailor their educational experience from the start. At the end of each month, we reassess to evaluate progress and ensure our teaching methods are effective. These assessments are not traditional tests where students are graded on right or wrong answers. Instead, they help us gain insight into what the student has absorbed, areas where they may need additional support, and how we can continue to adapt our teaching to best suit their individual needs. We believe that education is not a one-size-fits-all process. Children don’t simply consume content and either "get it" or "not." Learning is a dynamic journey, and if a particular style, format, or content isn’t working, we employ creative and flexible approaches to help each student make meaningful connections. Our goal is to foster growth, understanding, and confidence in every child by meeting them where they are and guiding them toward success in a way that resonates with them personally.

Family Style
The current structure of public education (putting all children the same age in the same classroom) was a function of mass education, not designed with the intention to grow the full individual. Rarely in their life, outside of public education, will they only interact with people their same age. Kachipaz Academy offers learning pods in the following groups of ages: prek-2nd grade, 3rd-5th grade, 6th grade-8th grade, and 9th-12th grade. Students learn daily within their learning pods and combine together for larger events. In teaching family style, Kachipaz Academy focuses on interpersonal relationship development. Focusing on support and guidance, relationships built on trust, frequent conversations, the creation of a non-judgmental environment, and returning to issues and problems for further discussion.
